3:10 To Yuma

I just got back from the new western 3:10 to Yuma. And might I say, it kicked ass. It was awesome, it was intense and it had Christian Bale! Overall I would give like an 8.5-9/10

Yep, I beat Halo 3 at 8:07 am. What an awesome game! I will post up a review in a day or two. Im exhausted.

Stuff!

To be specific, Halo 3 is pretty damn awesome still. The single player is a ton of fun, I haven't gotten a chance though to play the live multiplayer.

Halo 3= yes.

I beat the first two levels of Halo 3 today. And it is safe to say, it kicks ass. Halo 3 is a ton of fun. I already like it more than Halo 2. I haven't even touched Forge or the multilayer, and I already love it. I can't wait to get playing again. I'll be posting everyday with updates on my Halo3 experience.

Where is my Halo 3?

I've been waiting for hours now to crack in to Halo 3! I'm starting to get impatient, and I'm really really really excited for this damn game! On another note, this is my shortest post ever, and Stranglehold for the Ps3 came out to day. Screw Halo 3. Just kidding.

Halo 3 this Tuesday! And other stuff I feel compeled to talk about!

As you have probably seen Gamespot and IGN have both reviewed Halo 3! 9.5/10 from both websites. They both said that the multiplayer is freaking insane! It looks like a blast. I seriously ca not wait. And I am also very excited to announce this is the first game that I will not play the default difficulty on my first play through. Thats right, I'm going Heroic! I have reasons too, I consider my self quite experienced in the Halo universe, and Heroic has added in much better enemy A.I. and more chances to use items due to the tougher difficulty, for example there may be a mounted machine gun in an area that Easy or Normal would not have. It looks like a ton of fun, and 4 player co-op looks like a ton of fun! I can't wait! My special edition comes tomorrow via amazon.com!

Now that is out of the way, yeah I am really really excited about Halo 3, it just looks awesome. I really feel awesome about getting it tomorrow, like a ton of other people, and I get to brag to my best friend. I'll tell you guys what I think, as soon as I get done playing it.

Hey, today I was surfing the net taking a look around and I saw something. Halo 3 will be reviewed today! (9/23/07) I'm a little excited for a review. It makes me really wonder how big a game Halo 3 will be. I know it's huge, but when I'm hotly anticipating a review, you know it has to be the biggest game of the year.

With that all said and done, time to fill you in on what I've been up to. I've been playing a fair amount of Guild Wars (5 hours this week) I'm about 66% through it. I will have a review as soon as I beat it. (I'll try to work on grammar and typos this time.) I'll talk a little more about Guild Wars a little later. Also I've been playing Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory. My Kill/Death ratio is 0.669, my kill per minute stat is 0.574, and I have a skill rating of 658. Those are pretty mediocre stats, I'm getting better though. Enemy Territory is a fun game, it's also free, which is a good reason to start playing if you haven't. You can download it here and here Downloads>Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory. I have also been playing some 1 on 1 matches in Gears of War with my brother and best friend, a little bit of Dead Rising. And a whole lot of Skate.

Bioshock Review

Right, I know I said I would post every week, that didn't happen. Well I'm going to start posting up entries around twice a week, unless something comes up I want to share. Well here I am postin' away.

Lets get crackin'.

First I need to talk about Bioshock! I beat Bioshock about a week ago, sorry I didn't have time to tell you what I think, but here goes.

Bioshock-Review

Bioshock is one of this years most anticipated shooters by Irrational Games, now known as 2k Boston. And Bioshock does live up to the hype. More so probably, because Bioshock is one hell of a game!
Now I must warn you, this is not a 100% spoiler ridden review, I don't intend on giving away the ending or plot twists, but some things may be spoilers.

Meet Andrew Ryan, a man who wanted to create the perfect city, a place where scientists didn't have to deal with religion, where artists weren't effected by morality, "a place where the great were not constrained bye the small." Andrew Ryan wanted this. And for quite some time he did. Of course things went wrong. Andrew Ryan created the underwater city of Rapture, a far out 25 fathoms deep city right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Andrew Ryan created Plasmid, a genetic enhancement to the human body, allowing him or her to do incredible things, such as shoot lightning from the palm of there hand or light a fire with the tip of their finger. Plasmids are great, huh? Wrong, Plasmids had quite unusual side effects, "splicing up" people, which basically means they got messed up! Splicers are the enemies you will be fighting throughout the game, there are different types, for example the Thuggish splicer tries to beat the hell out of you with a pipe, or the Leadhead splicer will try to shoot your brains out.

Game play wise Bioshock play like a charm. It plays extremely well, being one of the best games all year. It really does the shooter genre wonders. You get a good amount of guns to fire, such as shot guns, grenade launchers, and a chemical thrower (which is exactly what it sounds like). The guns are fun to fire and are effective against Splicers and other enemies. Each gun has 3 ammo types as well, which are very fun to play around with. Every gun has a standard fire, which is a balanced shot, but other ammo types are there to pierce armor and so forth, using the exploding buck shot ammo for the first time (and even after that) is a ton of fun. Of course while weapons are effective, you need to combine them with Plasmids in order to really take down your enemy. Using Plasmids works the same way shooting a gun works, and the plasmids are very fun to mess around with. Using them effectively is fun and deadly, for example freezing someone with the Winter Blast plasmid and then blowing them to chunks with your machine gun is a ton of fun. There are a good amount of Plasmids, all of them working for different situations and fun to play with. Using the combination of Plasmids and weapons is extremely useful against the one true other enemy. The "boss fights", the absolute toughest enemy in the game. The Big Daddy. The Big Daddies are huge, and tough dudes. The Big Daddies are not just there for show though, they have a reason for being in Rapture. To protect the little sisters. Little sisters play a huge role in rapture, they carry Adam. These deformed little girls, have the most important thing in Rapture. Adam is what keeps you alive, it allows you to upgrade your health, unlock more Plasmids, and other very important things. You need Adam, and thus you have to go through a Big Daddy to get it. From Telekinesis to Insect Swarm Plasmids are a ton of fun, as is the combat.

From a technical standpoint Bioshock looks awesome. Bioshock may be the best looking game to come out all year, and the sound is superb. Bioshock really looks like what a next-gen game should look like, it competes with heavy hitters like Gears of War and Oblivion when it comes down to awesome looking games. The graphics, look pretty funky, it looks realistic and also almost like a cartoon is some places. Its a unique blend that looks awesome on both PC and Xbox 360. The art style looks like the 50's considering 1959 was the last "sane" year of Rapture. Everything looks really nice, from Splicers, to octopuses, to your grenade launcher everything looks excellent. Bioshock is also a excellent sounding game, the sounds from Machine gun, to the sound of your Electro-Bolt Plasmid to the clashing and clanging of Rapture falling apart, Bioshock's sound effects are superb. The musical score is also excellent, and fitting for Bioshock, with a lot of traditional sounds mixed with some cool modern touches. And the voice acting in Bioshock, is phenomenal. Every single word of dialog is incredible, each character's script sounds incredible, the voice acting is the best I've heard all year.


Sadly, Bioshock does have a few problems. First of all if your bought the PC version of the game, you can only install it twice, which is a little crazy. Also on both platforms, Bioshock has a good amount of bugs, such as hiccups, and locking up. Bioshock also has a few frame rate problems, which can actually fixed through the options menu to make Bioshock run a little smoother, but the game will suffer graphically. These problems are only minor, but it really does stink for a game like this to even have these problems.


All in all, Bioshock is a must have for Xbox 360 or PC, one of the best games to come out all year, this is a game you really owe to yourself to take a look at. Bioshock is incredible, it's a masterpiece.

Bioshock And Eye Of The North

Bioshock-
Bioshock is an amazing game so far, it really deserves its 9.6 average. The story is incredible, and its fun to watch it unfold. The shooting is intense and fun, while it is extremely fun against Big Daddies, but I have found lock-ups on my 360.. I will say my final verdict later.

Eye of the North-
Eye of the North so far is also really fun, very nostalgic to old school Guild Wars players, the environments are lush and awesome. Biggest problem is the armor isn't very cool, just re-skinned armors from the other games.

Bloggin'

Hey, it's Turtlefuzz. I'm hitting up the blog scene by posting stuff at least once a week. I'll be posting up my opinions on games, movies, music, current events, stuff like that.

Now that you know what I'm all about I'll get to the bloggin'.

Today I spent a good 135$ on stuff at Best Buy. I bought The Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Season One dvd, I watched the first disc, hilarious stuff. I love Frylock and Carl, just funny, funny stuff. I'm looking foward to Robot Chicken: Season two dvd coming out this month, I'll deffenetly buy it. I bought the M. Night Shyamalan film, Unbreakable. It's really, really a great movie. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson both do a terrific job, and it has a nice twist at the end. I also bought the new Guild Wars expansion pack, Guild Wars: Eye of the North, though I didnt get a chance to play it, and I've been drooling over the box impatiently. Last, I bought Bioshock, finally! But also, I didn't get a chance to play it! So same crap with Eye of the North, I cant play it until later tommorow. But still I had a good shopping binge.

Earlier this week Ubisoft reported that they didn't have any future plans for a Xbox 360 or PC version of Haze. This doesn't really concern me, since I plan on buying a PS3 anyway, at least next year or so. Haze is looking sick though, so unfortenetly I may have to wait a little while for it. But I think it will be worth the wait, I mean it's Free Radical, the developers of the Time Splitters series!

So that about does it for now. I think I'll post another entry tommorow talking about my Eye of the North experience along with Bioshock, also to get the whole bloggin' thing down.
